ICM Landscapes

Following the footsteps of J.M.W. Turner, I conducted a photographic tour exploring features and elements of the sublime across the South West of England. Witnessing nature’s raw power and its unbending grasp over the natural environment. Each image presents abstract portrayals influenced by Turner’s historic landscape paintings. Represented through painterly aesthetics created through the method of intentional camera movement (ICM). Visualising dramatic vistas spanning both land and sea to transport the viewer to atmospheric scenes which host a multitude of weathers, topographies and subject matters. The expedition visited five counties including Dorset and its Jurassic coast, to Sennen on the very fringes of the land within Cornwall.
